Snap-On Panels
Durable, lightweight Snap-on Standing Seam and Batten panels are used
for roofing, fascia and mansard applications. They are designed
for easy handling, workability and fast assembly in the field.
Available in aluminum or steel with a warranted twenty-year finish in an
assortment of colors.
Structural Panels
Economical Structural Standing Seam and Batten panel are used in roofing
and fascia applications. They have unique architectural aesthetics
and are also exceptionally weather tight. Panels may be installed
either spanning structural supports, a maximum 5'-0" o.c., or over
solid decking.

- Snap-On Specifications
1. PANELS: Panels shall be Baird & Wilson Sheetmetal,
Inc., Knoxville, TN, (865) 523-9982. Snap-on Standing Seam
or Batten seam panels, roll-formed in continuous lengths.
Material shall be 24 ga. steel or .032 aluminum. Seam
spacing shall be selected from available on-center dimensions.
2. FINISH: Panels shall be finished with
Kynar 500, two coat 70% Kynar 500 finish, applied over an epoxy
prime coat. Panel color shall be selected from
manufacturer's standard colors. A twenty-year finish
warranty shall be supplied upon request.
3. TRIM: All flashing and trim shall be of same
material, gauge and finish as panels.
4. INSTALLATION: Baird & Wilson Snap-on panels
shall be installed over solid decking with an underlayment of
30#felt. Snap-on panels shall be fastened using
non-penetrating hold-down clips 24" o.c. (minimum). Minimum
slope is 3:12

Coping/Gravel Stop/Flashing Specifications |
- Coping
1. Coping system shall be manufactured by Baird & Wilson
Sheetmetal, Inc., Knoxville TN (865) 523-9982. The coping shall
press on to saddles and attach without the use of exposed
fasteners. Coping shall be .050 or .063 aluminum or 24 ga. steel
(architect specify) with 6" wide splice plates or cover plates to
match coping. Saddles shall be 20 ga. galvanized steel and
anchored to top of wall using approved fasteners.

Gravel Stop
1. All formed gravel stop and flashing trim shall be
manufactured by Baird & Wilson Sheetmetal, Inc., Knoxville TN
(865) 523-9982. Gravel stop, flashing and trim shall be
formed aluminum, of gauge selected by the architect, or 24 ga.
steel, secured by continuous cleat and provided with 6" wide
splice plates or cover plates at joints.
2. FINISH: Coping gravel stop and flashing shall be finished
with Kynar 500, baked enamel, anodized, or mill finish as selected
by the architect.
