Assistant Project Manager/Estimator


Job Summary

The Assistant Project Manager/Estimator provides support to complete a variety of  projects, and ongoing daily project management tasks for the project manager.  The Estimating Assistant may participate during all phases of preconstruction.  Under the direction of the lead estimator, the 

Estimating Assistant may help in moving projects towards completion.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • AutoCAD Experience.
  • Organize, coordinate and facilitate many aspects of projects.
  • Coordinate between multiple projects from contract award to final completion.
  • Ability to read and comprehend contract drawings and shop drawings.
  • Communicate effectively to coordinate with contractors, suppliers, engineers & architects.
  • Create and manage RFI’s, submittals, transmittals, change orders, etc. 
  • Be able to prioritize assignments while working on multiple concurrent projects.
  • Ordering materials for jobs, including coordination of deliveries with vendors
  • Ensuring materials, hardware, etc. are accounted for and on hand prior to installation date.
  • Assist in the monitoring of job development against schedules and address any issues that may arise.
  • Assist in scheduling and organization of materials and/or equipment to guarantee project completion based on site visits and scope of work. 
  • Interact with foreman and superintendent to ensure construction projects move forward efficiently and assist with issues that may arise. 
  • Assist with managing the subcontractors’ schedule and equipment delivery for project completion.
  • Preparing bids for small to medium sized projects.
  • Assist in the production of job estimates by interpreting drawings.
